Three versions of the same mold! There's actually a clear version of the latest repaint with the solid white belly that I am still missing. How cute is this! This mini Raichu was only available in the 2021 Funko Pop Pokemon Advent Calendar, and I bought mine through an eBay seller :) Yup, my favorite Raichu figure. And probably the favorite of many others. He just loves life as a stripey orange mouse. I LOVE Kaiyodo's stuff. Always bringing in dynamic poses. Would love to own the two other Japanese variants of this (one has a clear pink base, the other opaque pink) He's missing his tail D: but wow that face. stop being so cute, Rai. VERY cute and VERY tiny! There are many color variants of this little figure that I'll sadly probably never own! Love this guy's pose. He's supposed to have a base, but I don't have one! Yeah, sadly my little round Raichu here is in pretty bad shape. Someone along the line used some type of cleaner at some point that reacted badly with his paint, so most of it is sticky, and that is why the stomach is so damaged. I still ADORE this ball though, I've always wanted one, and even though he's in rough shape I couldn't pass up the chance to own this! This one is mysterious! I've never seen this figure before. Got it from eBay from a seller in Mexico who also sold me a bootleg Dragonite figure to match. The seller said this figure was from the 90's, but there are no markings on it to give me any information. It's hollow, and to me, it looks like this Raichu might have held candy at some point, or maybe was a bottle topper figure. Either way, I saw this unique mold, and really wanted to own it; I'm a sucker for those, even if they are bootleg! I kinda want to repaint this figure someday... Get the tail, ditto! Reeeeach! One of my favorite figure/plush series in Pokemon, ever. I want all of them!! Unfortunately they are very popular and expensive lol There aren't many items out there that capture the entire Raichu family, all of which I collect, so this piece is perfect for my collection. A Sue-Kazari is a traditional New Years ceramic decoration people will place on their table in Japan. The fact that it's made from ceramic... and is so well crafted and painted with care, I just love it so, so much. It's really beautiful in person, comes in a beautiful box with a lovely personal thank-you note from the manufacturer. The note essentially reads (I can't read Japanese, used a translator); Chugai Ceramics was founded in 1952, and their statues are made with their own special steaming technique. Each statue is made by hand. This statue was released in a small collection for the New Year (2020) along with a statue of Pikachu+Marill (Pikablu!) together, and two ceramic hanging good luck charms with bells inside of Pikachu and Squirtle, holding coins. Took me around 10 whole years to even see this figure up for sale on eBay once (the only place I really look for collecting these days), and I was lucky enough to find one in incredible condition! There is some odd staining on the yellow parts of his ears but it's hard to notice~ I've wondered what this figure felt like for so long because it's impossible to tell from photos. As you can see in the bottom row of photos, he's made of pretty thin rubber-like material, incredibly squishy! It's an incredible feeling adding an item to your collection that you've waited so long for. Each time I feel so lucky :) |
How cute is this! The whole Pika Pika kid figure collection was adorable. This posing is a reference to Pikachu's Vacation, my favorite Pokemon media :D Sooo... fat! Kept this guy in his package for a long time, but I couldn't resist. He is shiny. :o Though I'm not a fan of Raichu proportioned like this, this figure is cute. Yes, it's called a "soft keyholder", I didn't make that up. Nothin' soft about this Rai though... Finally, I have the much older, original version of the keychain figure above! The differences are interesting! Reunited at last :) My poor Thinkchip Rai is missing his tail. But that face!! He's made of hard brittle plastic. There are so many variations of these! The yellow figure's mold only has this yellow color variant and a purple/indigo one which I have as well. I actually love collecting different colors of figures like this, it's pretty fun hunting them down, and they look great all together! Lookin' super reflective and statue-esque. Neat little guy! He's a bit dirty and I'm afraid to clean him, since he's an eraser... I bought this along with a Meowth and Gengar eraser of the same type! Yup... not sure if this is a bootleg or not, though I'm leaning towards the possibility that it is, mostly because of the slightly wonky paintjob. Looks like he used to be a keychain, and I couldn't help but notice his resemblance to a Dragonite keychain I have... (here) But I love this mold, and I'm happy to have a Raichu in it regardless! I adore unique Raichu items and this is no exception! Look how pure this blocky boi is. So small. This figure had been one of my most wanted figures for so many years... Took me around 8 years to find one of these for sale. Was extremely happy to find this guy for sale alongside a Surfing Pikachu figure I also didn't have - which I happen to collect! He's in immaculate condition. I absolutely LOVE this figure. It has such a unique look, very rounded and soft looking, chunky ears and tail; it is a unique sculpt with no other figures like it. It has a mysterious background; nearly nothing online that I've been able to find about it, and the seller I bought it from also did not know its history, though they guessed it was an arcade prize of sorts? So exciting! :) This is the largest Raichu figure ever made! And boy is it a great one! Even though mine is missing its tail, he is still plenty incredible. The proportions of this figure are absolutely perfect. Took me a long time to find one that I could afford, was perfectly happy to get one without the tail (it'd get in the way of displaying it anyway, plus I can make a replacement :) ) This guy's very dark orange! Pretty weird proportions for Raichu but most of the V-Trainers figures had weird proportions for the Pokemon... This actually was a gift from a dear friend of mine; this figure evaded me for many years, and my friend found it in a thrift store; lucky find! Despite the common name for these being "Cereal Figures/Toys", these prize figures came in packages of Peruvian mini cookies by a brand called Costa! These are very hard to find, and I was thrilled to find a seller who had an almost complete collection. They came in 6 colors; pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, with an opaque and a glow in the dark version for each color. I am only missing blue glow in the dark as far as I am aware. There might be a lime green color too, but it's hard to tell from photos online. These look absolutely fantastic in a row in my collection cabinet! Very unique and reminiscent of crazy bones toys! |
This is the Raichu that started my whole collection! With those floppy ears and adorable face, there was no way I could resist. This guy has such a nice vintage vibe about him ~ This Raichu is a nice size!
I keep him stuffed with a few tissues just to make him a bit more well-rounded. :3 This plush is so extremely cute and unique. Such high quality!
So, I originally thought this plush was a bootleg, but now that I've seen the same plush for sale and with its Original Tag, I know it's legit!
I really absolutely love this plush, it's unique enough that it stands out from the rest of my plushies, is the *perfect* shade of orange, and the embroidery detailing around his markings is really beautiful! Also his ears are chonky, which is a big bonus. This derpy little Raichu is really precious! And decently rare, too! I feel lucky to own this for sure. There's a version of this tiny plush that was made into a keychain; I'd love to reunite them someday!!
The pokedoll, but with a proportionate body! Yeah, the heads are the exact same! Definitely not complaining about that though, I love it.
I don't really collect the new Raichu plush and usually will focus on vintage ones instead, but I absolutely love unique merch and the style of the Saiko Soda collections plush and etc. is just way too cute to pass up!
Finally, after around 9 years of collecting, I found the Bell plush, that I could also finally reasonably afford!
I only search eBay these days to build my collection, so some items from Japan I rarely see pop up for sale. This one evaded me for so long, but I'm extremely excited to have one in such great condition, with the box nearly mint! He's one of the crown jewels of my collection now. |
I didn't think I'd ever own one of these just because they're so expensive, and now I actually own two, thanks to a super lucky and ridiculously cheap elusive eBay listing. This one was a Christmas gift from my boyfriend. I love it so much. Can't wait for the day when I'm able to get this guy's fuzzier (and more expensive) brother! Got this dude for an insane deal on eBay, it was mislabeled and I'm so glad I spotted it. A classic, gorgeous Raichu piece. Of all the monstrosities Play-By-Play came out with, I'm so glad they got Raichu right.
This plush is lovely. Slightly resembles the backpack Raichu made by the same company (right here in Canada! woot!)
This little guy accompanied me to many Pokemon GO meets! I don't know who makes these "12 inch" booties, but... Honestly, they're pretty good quality! I bought this knowing it was a bootleg, but because of its size and surprisingly nice quality... Couldn't resist! I'm such a sucker for Raichu...
This guy was only ever available for sale in South America way back in the late 90's! It's so exciting acquiring Raichu items I never thought I'd own. This plush is among the rarest licensed plush, and I'm so happy to own two out of the three South America only Raichu plushies :)
Here it is. My favorite Raichu plush.
It seriously doesn't get better than that face right there. And I was even lucky enough to find one with its tag!! This plush is so amazing. So cute, so well made. Unique. Lights up (even though mine doesn't). Also, I inserted a piece of wire into the middle of the cord just to keep it straight and to be able to hang him up if I wanted. I ADORE this plush set! I was disappointed when the seller sent me the plush without the hang tags that were in their listing since the tag art is so cute, though they are so cute that I think I'll be ok with them lol :) They are unbelievably squishy, just like Squishmallow plushies.

This tin is one of my favorite Raichu items; it's the perfect size, perfectly nostalgic, nice and bright and shiny metallic!
I don't collect TCG generally, but I like to collect my favorites :) I might collect Raichu cards more focusedly in the future, who knows!
There are endless Raichu stickers out there, licensed and not! I'm not on a mission to collect them all, but the ones I have I really love. The spiral holo one was a prize from instant noodles, and I just think that's super neat :)
I'm a sucker for multicolored hunks of plastic (especially when there's glitter involved, I'm a 2000s kid lol) - honestly hard to say how many colors Raichu was stuck onto as there are tons of variations of waps. Hopefully someday I'll be able to find more!
Also Battrio pucks are super cool - they're used in an arcade game! More various Raichu flats! Bromide is a brand of gum that you can find large cards like this one in, and Menko are used in a game where you throw the cards together (Squid Game, anyone?)
This pack contains the only North American release of the Raichu Candy Catcher! North American Pokemon Candy Catchers have solid yellow and solid light blue bases, while the original Japanese releases feature yellow, red, solid pink and transparent pink!

I love both of these items! The gold one is extra cool looking!
Lenticular cards are so cool!! I love the "Nice Card" lol, it gives such strong bootleg vibes even though it's not. Low poly Raichu is amazing!
The "Pokeball Cards" came in packages with Meiji brand candy, as well as the little brick house sticker, from what I've been told. I absolutely love the brick sticker, it's so funny to me. *CRASH!* Postcards are fun! :) Nice big art pieces. Too bad this art of Raichu is sooooo overused...
This is such a neat item, very 90's-early 2000's! The clear plastic is a 3D mold of Raichu; it's difficult to align the mold with the picture underneath to get the full effect seen in the main photo, but still very cool, love the concept. And the tape is Pokémon tape!
I *love* merch like this. So obscure, so specific. Really helps show how big Pokemon was at the time for Raichu shoelaces of all things to exist!
